Frustrated by certain team members unable to work together because of personality conflicts, poor interpersonal skills, distrust, hurt egos, damaged pride, anger, or animosity?

This unique conflict resolution strategy will help two individuals openly address dysfunctional behaviors and achieve consensus commitments that will build a productive working relationship.

The intervention will be facilitated by Dr. Wolf J. Rinke who has more than 30 years of hands-on management and leadership experience and has conducted numerous conflict interventions in a wide variety of companies from Fortune 500 to start-up entrepreneurial organizations. Specific needs are identified using a variety of assessments including a unique system that encourages participants to identify the real issues that interfere with the effectiveness of their relationship. The outcome of the intervention is a set of specific written commitments that will govern future behaviors. This "contract" is used by the parties to hold each other accountable. As a result participants buy into a new reality which enables them to "repair" their relationship and take their performance to the next level.

The intervention typically consists of three phases: Diagnosis, Intervention and Follow-up, which are described below.

SAMPLE Conflict Resolution PROCESS--Two Team Members

Note: Every intervention is customized to the specific needs of the individuals.

Phase 1 Diagnose critical needs and challenges of the participants
What: Interview each participant, his/her manager and randomly selected direct reports
How: Conduct one-on-one in-person or telephone interviews to identify strengths, weaknesses and dysfunctional behaviors
Why: Identify the real needs and challenges of the participants.
To structure a customized intervention that produces lasting results.

Phase 2 Intervention
What: Facilitate a highly productive conflict resolution strategy that addresses the real needs and challenges of the participants.
How: Utilize a unique conflict resolution strategy to identify real challenges so that the relationship can be repaired.
Generate a list of specific commitments that participants sign and commit to use to govern their future behavior.
Why: Build a productive relationship.

Phase 3 Follow-up
What: Follow-up and reinforcement.
How: Conduct three follow-up sessions--one about every 3 months.
Why: To assess compliance with commitments and reinforce positive new behaviors.
To achieve lasting behavior change for building a productive relationship and achieving dramatic improvements in performance.
